OUR BEGINNING Was HUMBLE
The history of our company is as follows:-
- Cape Trustees and Executors Ltd was established in 1925, during 1979 the company was restricted, in that the insolvency department was sold to a new company known as Cape Trustees Ltd. The founding directors at that time were: Andre De Villiers Joubert, Francis David Glaum, Peter Thomus Courtney Thorne; Ralph Millman and Jean Jacques Rousseau.
- Boland Bank obtained a third share in the newly formed Cape Trustees Ltd, and in 1982 the directors of Cape Trustees Ltd decided to open a branch in Pretoria. Paul Daneel Kruger and Alex Bosch were appointed as Joint Managers of this branch. 1996, the local directors at that stage, Paul Daneel Kruger and James Henry van Rensburg, bought the Pretoria branch and formed a new company called, Kruger van Rensburg (Pty) Ltd t/a Cape Trustees. In terms of the sales agreement with Cape Trustees, Kruger van Rensburg (Pty) Ltd, was allowed to use the name Cape Trustees for a period of 5 years, whereafter the trading name changed to Bureau Trust.
- Subsequently a new company was formed in 2007, namely Wilbecar Likwidateurs CC trading as BUREAU TRUST (Gauteng), with members Elizabeth Wilanda Prinsloo, Oscar Jabulani Sithole and Beatrix Elize Groenewald. Today the only member left is Wilanda Prinsloo, assisted by the Estate Manager Corné Mienie and although Bea Groenewald resigned as member, she is still very active in our company and industry.
